absolutely not worth the hassle. the reception was locked despite a sign saying otherwise, and no coffee shop as promised? pure disgrace. i expected a complimentary room upgrade for all this nonsense but got nothing. so much for customer service. i almost thought about giving a good review but just couldn't. never again!

Spacious room with good kitchenette options

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my room, which included a functional kitchenette that had an electric kettle. It was a perfect stop after a long drive, especially being so close to the Confederation Bridge. However, the overall cleanliness could use some attention, particularly in the bathroom.

The coffee shop was closed at dinner when it should've been open, leaving us scrambling after a long drive. The bed felt uncomfortable, and receiving a room in the backyard despite availability in the front was disappointing. Black bugs were spotted on the floor, and the air conditioning unit didn't work properly, forcing the use of a portable heater. The overall condition of the property indicates it needs more attention.

Family affordable place for a quick stay

We were able to enjoy the complimentary coffee from the coffee shop in the morning, it kept us going for our travels. The kids had a blast playing outside in the quiet field behind the motel.

The price was quite steep , especially considering the overall experience.

The location was super convenient, right by the highway for quick access. The room I stayed in was well-sized, featuring a kitchenette that was great to have after a long day of exploring. Plus, the coffee shop had excellent coffee that kept us energized for our adventures!

i had a great stay at carleton motel and coffee shop. the room was clean and basic, which was exactly what i needed. the bathroom was updated, and the kitchen amenities were functional. the wifi worked well, and i appreciated having a quiet space to read and relax. plus, it’s nice to have a coffee shop attached.

However, the room could have used a more thorough cleaning, and I experienced noise disturbances from adjacent guests that affected my sleep. In addition, the air conditioning was less effective than expected.

This was just a perfect match for a brief stopover in Borden-Carleton with incredible value for money. I really enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the morning. it kept me energized for my travels. Bring your own snacks since on-site food options are pretty limited.
